Bree is Well Armed

Bree was bored of her duties as unpaid medical intern at the Armamentarium, housing medical tools and book and scrolls. Bree was instructed to fetch some water to fill a decanter from the 'Well of the Armamentarium' and return with the pure water and await further instructions. The Well was located on some of the lowest levels of the facility and required walking down many flights of seldom used stairways. Bree lost her balance twice, but managed to catch herself before tumbling the down the rest of the staircase.

She entered the chamber where the Well was located. She lit the lamps, which were shielded to prevent contamination by soot entering the Waters of the Well. As the lamps glowed brighter, see noticed an odd blue shimmering light just beneath the surface of the water. After finishing the duties of a lamp lighter, she let her curious nature get the better of her and Bree decided to investigate the blue glow. Bree moved over to a spot near the edge of the Well, where the sparkling blue light was the strongest. There on a ledge just below the waters surface was a small piece of jewelery, set with an iridescent blue stone. Bree surmised that the jewel was dropped into the Well by some long forgotten careless intern. 'Their loss, my gain' Bree thought.

Bree mindlessly put the jewel around her neck. The blue glow faded to nothing, just as she clicked the clasp together. Bree was incensed by this, for some reason. 'I have a mind to throw this cheap fake back into the Well from where it came' Bree thought furiously. Just as she tried to reach for the jewel, Bree found that her right arm wouldn't move at all. Then she tried to remove the jewel with her left arm, but that too seemed to be stuck in place at her side. 'Well, well, well what is happening to my arms here, they won't move at all. It would be nice to have an extra set of hands right about now to remove this accursed piece of jewelery!" Bree cursed out loud. No sooner did she speak those words then the blue glow returned to the stone in the center of the jewel. Four violet sparks danced on the surface of the stone briefly and then entered Bree's body just below her neck. "Ouch that hurt!" Bree screamed! But even before the scream died away in the large echo prone chamber, Bree noticed something had changed about her body. Bree had four more arms, attached to her body just above her 'original' arms.

Bree was very startled by this, and was more eager than ever to rid her self of this weird jewel. But try as she might, Bree could not make any of the four new arms move, either. Her desire to be rid of the jewel faded and with it the light show created dimmed out.

Bree could now move her 'old' arms a bit better and the new ones seem to move about as well. Bree was feeling very sore from all the strain of holding the extra limbs up in the air for so long a time. They slowly dropped to her side, but Bree found it very confusing to coordinate six limbs. Bree was very concerned about what the others would think of her looking like this. She couldn't think of an easy way to hide her extra limbs. And the climb back up those slippery stairs might kill her..
